what is the edge?

The Edge is not just a brand. It’s a moment. A portal. A collective invitation to what’s real.

We exist at the intersection of emotional honesty, body-based wisdom, and cultural disruption. Whether you’re just beginning to feel the stirrings of change or deep in your healing process and craving more truth—you’re in the right place.

We believe the world doesn’t need more perfectly healed people.
It needs more people willing to meet themselves in their truth—messy, honest, alive.

Our work draws on many somatic practices and awareness principles. These principles help us stay present with complexity, welcome all parts of ourselves, and practice a kind of leadership rooted in curiosity, truth-telling, and connection.

Our work doesn’t fit into a single box.
Because you don’t.

This is the edge of transformation.
And you’re invited.

Why We Exist: For People Ready to Stop Bypassing and Start Feeling

We live in a world that rewards disconnection—rationality over intuition, performance over presence, productivity over aliveness.

At The Edge, we offer something different: a space to feel your feelings, reclaim your body, and step into community with bigger consciousness.

Our work isn’t about fixing you.

It’s about helping you remember what was never broken.

Meet the Team

Aija

Aija is a mother and somatic practitioner passionate about emotional honesty, communal healing, and making space for all that we carry. Her work is rooted in helping people feel their feelings—not just intellectually, but somatically—and supporting them in owning those emotions with courage. Aija believes that when we allow ourselves to be felt and witnessed, we step into a more conscious, connected way of living.

Tara

Tara is a somatic acupuncturist deeply fascinated by the intersection of neuroscience, trauma, and the body. With a background in clinical psychology and acupuncture, she brings curiosity and clarity to how the nervous system shapes our health, our patterns, and our potential for change. Tara’s work is grounded in nervous system regulation and the science of how we transform.

Rosie

Rosie is a somatic practitioner fluent in complexity and systemic dynamics. With a global perspective, she bridges Western emotional health practices with culturally diverse understandings of healing. Rosie’s work invites people to question the frames they’ve inherited and to hold multiple truths—honoring how culture, history, and power shape our emotional lives.

Our Approach: Embodied Healing for a Complex World

Our offerings blend somatic therapy, process work, cultural inquiry, and energetic practice to invite real transformation—not performance, not perfection.

We work at the intersection of:

Emotional (mind + energy):
Including trauma patterns, emotional masks, polarity and duality awareness, principles theory, and mindfulness-based practices rooted in intellectual humility, non-attachment, and Buddhist ethics.

We work with reframing, deep emotional witnessing, and learning to humanize self and others.

Somatic (body + energy):
Including TRE (Trauma Releasing Exercises) , Bioenergetics, nervous system regulation & polyvagal theory,  embodiment practices like Qi Gong, ProcessWork & Core Energetics, trauma-body integration, life force awareness, and work rooted in early relational patterns (e.g., umbilical trauma, attachment to caregivers, safety and nourishment needs).

We work with sensation, sexuality, grounding, and re-patterning distorted coping strategies.

Complexity (lineage + systemic awareness):
Including explorations of socialization, language complexity,  systemic dynamics, collective trauma, cultural frames of emotional health, and reclaiming agency from infantilization.

We draw from both academic theory and lived wisdom to rewire how we relate to self, other, and world.

What Makes Us Different

We're not here to help you “get over it.”
We’re here to help you move through it—with presence, depth, and radical honesty.

We don’t fit neatly into therapy, coaching, or spirituality.
Our work is interdisciplinary, somatic, and rooted in lived experience.

This isn’t a quick fix.

This is transformation you can feel in your bones.

You Don’t Have to Hold It Alone

Whether you’re:

  • Craving more aliveness in your body,

  • Seeking emotional integration,

  • Navigating grief or heartbreak,

  • Rewriting inherited patterns,

  • Or yearning to feel more connected in your community—

You are welcome here.

You don’t have to be an expert. You don’t have to be “healed.”

You just have to be willing to show up with honesty, curiosity, and care.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a somatic therapy workshop?

A somatic therapy workshop is an experiential program that uses body-based practices to support emotional healing, trauma release, and nervous system regulation. At The Edge, our somatic work integrates movement, breath, voice, and relational practices to access deeper layers of insight and resilience.

What happens in a transformational workshop?

Transformational workshops are designed to shift how you see yourself and the world. Through a mix of embodiment practices, emotional process work, group dynamics, and guided exercises, you explore your inner landscape and move through blocks that keep you stuck. These workshops prioritize real change—not just learning, but lived experience.

Are these personal growth workshops therapy?

No, personal growth workshops are not therapy—but they are deeply cathartic. While they don’t replace clinical support, they offer powerful tools for self-discovery, emotional integration, and relational healing. Many participants describe them as life-changing experiences that go beyond traditional talk therapy.

What makes your leadership training different?

Our leadership training is grounded in somatics, emotional intelligence, and systemic awareness. We hold chaos, complexity and messiness. It’s not about performance or strategies—it’s about showing up as your most authentic self and leading from a place of presence and integrity. We train facilitators, coaches, creatives, and changemakers to lead with depth, not perfection.

Who are these workshops for?

These workshops are for anyone on a personal or professional growth path—whether you’re a therapist looking for advanced training, a leader seeking embodied presence, or someone craving deeper connection with yourself and others.

No prior experience in somatic work is required—just a willingness to show up fully, self-responsibility and a curiosity to expand your current frame.

What techniques do you use?

We use a combination of embodied, somatic practices that include groundbreaking techniques from leaders all over the world in holding complexity and systemic awareness.

Our team collaborates with different somatic techniques professionals, including: Core Energetics, TRE, breath work, body scanning, Qi Chong, among others. Our take on the work is also based on theory exploration such as socialization, power, personal and systemic complexity.

What does it mean to be licensed or unlicensed in somatic work?

Most somatic work is not licensable. That is the nature of the work.  At The Edge, we choose to question psychological frames, not to deny them, but to make space for the wisdom that hasn't been claimed and validated. We are not another professional license, we are the space to develop the tools to hold the world. Standing strong in the unknown, wired to your deep intuition and welcoming whats present, thats the kind of leadership we hope to help you build.

let's connect.
