What Your Body Might Be Trying to Tell You

Your body is always talking to you. The question is—are you listening?

Physical pain, tension, or fatigue doesn’t always mean something’s wrong with your body. Sometimes, it’s your body’s way of communicating something emotional, energetic, or unprocessed.

While there’s no single “right” meaning for any symptom, here are a few examples of what certain areas might be saying:

  • Jaw tension: Words you didn’t say. Boundaries you swallowed.

  • Neck pain: Carrying too much—responsibility, expectations, unspoken worry.

  • Upper back pain: Feeling unsupported.

  • Lower back pain: Fear around safety, money, or stability.

  • Hips: Holding grief or emotions from past relationships.

  • Legs/feet: Stability, direction, feeling “rooted” in life.

This is not a diagnosis—and not a replacement for medical care. Every body is different. Your neck pain might mean something completely different than someone else’s. The point isn’t to guess the meaning—it’s to get curious.

How to listen:

  • When pain or tension arises, pause.

  • Place your hand on the area.

  • Ask, “What are you trying to tell me?”

  • Don’t overthink—just notice what comes up.

Your body carries your history. But it also carries your capacity for healing. When you give your pain a voice, you open the door for transformation.
